SMS / Text Messaging Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2026
This SMS Policy applies to text messaging programs operated by Hype Media Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) on behalf of our dealership clients through our RevGen SMS platform.
Program Description
Hype Media Group operates an automated SMS feedback and review request program (RevGen) on behalf of participating automotive dealerships. Messages are sent to customers who have provided prior express written consent to receive automated text communications from the dealership.
How We Obtain Consent
Before any automated text message is sent, consent is collected directly by the dealership at the point of service through a written opt-in on digital intake forms, sales agreements, or service repair orders (ROs). The opt-in disclosure provided to customers reads:
“By providing my mobile number, I agree to receive automated feedback and review requests from [Dealership Name], powered by Hype Media Group. Msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”
No messages are sent without prior express written consent as required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Message Frequency
Customers enrolled in the RevGen SMS program will receive no more than 2 messages per service or sales visit — an initial confirmation request and, only upon confirmation, a survey link.
Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Hype Media Group and participating dealerships are not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To re-enroll, reply START at any time.

Sharing of SMS Consent Data
SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers collected for text messaging purposes are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for their own marketing purposes. This data is used solely to facilitate the RevGen SMS program on behalf of the dealership from which consent was obtained.
Supported Carriers
Our messaging program is compatible with all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carrier support may vary.
